Built and maintained independently
FakeWorking.com is operated by an individual developer. It brings a few everyday browsing and screen-simulation tools together in one place.
What you can do here
- Watch a public YouTube video in a floating meeting-style window on supported desktop browsers.
- Read public Reddit discussions through Outlook, Excel, Word, or VS Code-style views.
- Read public news articles and Wikipedia pages in those same work-style views.
- Display a simulated spreadsheet, document, code editor, or system update without loading a content source.
Know the limits
The office views are simulations, not full office applications. They do not run code, calculate spreadsheets, or perform real system updates.
Changing a screen’s appearance does not hide browser history, network activity, workplace monitoring, or screen sharing. Use FakeWorking only where your workplace policies and other applicable rules allow it.
Independent of the services it resembles
FakeWorking is not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft, Google, YouTube, Reddit, or the publishers whose public content you choose to read. Their names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
